A summer party at the Wolkenburg event location with its large courtyard and garden terrace, as well as the variety of spatial possibilities, makes your summer party independent of the vagaries of the weather. Are civil marriage ceremonies possible and how does the organization work?
In Wolkenburg, civil marriages can be performed. They will inform us of your desired dates, and we will coordinate the appointment with the Cologne registry office. The binding decision on the date is made by the registry office and confirmed by Wolkenburg.
Is there a curfew?
You can celebrate as long as you want and persevere. There is no curfew in Wolkenburg.
Is it possible to arrange your own catering of food (regional specialties) and drinks?
Unfortunately no! The Wolkenburg offers the full range of services. It has its own very good kitchen and a huge selection of wines and beverages.
Are there parking spaces at the house?
As a historic building in the city center of Cologne, we do not have our own parking spaces. However, there are sufficient public parking spaces and parking garages in the immediate, pedestrian-friendly area. The parking facilities are listed on the Wolkenburg website.

What information is needed for a first offer?
The most important information is the desired date and the number of expected guests, so that the right room can be offered. For a concrete quote, as many details as possible are desirable! The more information available, the more specific we can be in responding to the requests in the quote.
Are photo and wedding shoots possible?
Appointments for photo or wedding shoots are only possible outside of a private event in exceptional cases and upon specific arrangement via our office at 0221-9213260.
Can own items, such as furniture, decorations, technology, etc., be brought along?
Of course, you can bring your own inventory. However, we do not accept any liability for this and ask that such items be collected immediately after the event. In the event of necessary storage with us, fees will apply.
Are fireworks allowed in the courtyard and confetti shooters allowed in the rooms?
Fireworks in the courtyard are unfortunately not possible; ground-based fireworks are only permitted in coordination with the Cologne city authorities. Confetti shooters are not allowed in the interior of the building. They can cause permanent discoloration/damage to our parquet floors in combination with water.
Can DJs/bands/photographers be booked through the Wolkenburg?
Music and images are a very personal matter. We are happy to provide guidance. We ask that you make the selection or decision yourself.
Can we bring balloons and flower petals?
Air balloons, even those filled with gas, can be used as decorations in indoor spaces. We ask that you avoid touching the flower petals on our parquet floors due to the discoloration.
Can we try the food and drinks?
Of course, you can experience the quality of our kitchen and wine cellar during a tasting meal. Please make an appointment via our office at 0221-9213260.
Are there any other celebrations taking place on the day of our celebration?
The Wolkenburg has 5 different event rooms, which can of course also be used in parallel. By scheduling the event and defining boundaries in the spacious courtyard, we ensure that there are no overlaps between the guests and that each organizer has their own area available, both in the outdoor and indoor areas.
Can you also rent the Wolkenburg or individual rooms without catering?
For exhibitions, home fairs, gatherings, etc., the Wolkenburg and/or rooms can be rented. Bringing your own goods, e.g. for food presentations, is only possible by arrangement. Unfortunately, we do not cooperate with outside caterers.
Will images of the Wolkenburg be made available for, e.g., invitations/presentations?
Images of the Wolkenburg can be downloaded or we are happy to provide them upon request.
Are dogs allowed to be brought along?
Dogs are welcome, provided they do not disturb other participants.
Is there a public restaurant?
No, unfortunately, the Wolkenburg does not operate a public restaurant. The Wolkenburg is exclusively available for private events.
Is there a vegetarian or vegan option available?
Of course, we not only offer vegetarian and vegan dishes, but also complete menus. For every booked event, we provide vegetarian or vegan alternatives, even without prior request.
