150 years of the Cologne City Anzeiger in the Wolkenburg
The „Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger“ invites you on a musical and culinary journey through 150 years of Cologne city history with the Cologne group „De Kallendresser“. The evening, moderated by Helmut Frangenberg („Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger“, „Loss mer singe“), combines historical and modern songs with a fine „Kölschen Fooderkaat“, the Cologne menu.
The „Kallendresser“ are known for their fine interpretations of classic Cologne songs from three centuries. The band has been making music together since the late 1980s – but only where it feels right. A concert with the „Kallendresser“ is always something very special. For the evening at the Wolkenburg they have chosen songs that describe the moods and the events of a big city that developed into a vibrant metropolis during the Kaiserreich and the Weimar Republic. Other gems of Cologne song culture tell the story of the reconstruction after the war and the development of the city to the present day. A text booklet makes it easier to sing along. In addition, Helmut Frangenberg will report on exciting, but also curious stories about changes in the city and the much-loved self-image of Cologne women and men since the founding of the „Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger“.
In the year when the 150th anniversary of the „Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger“, Konrad Adenauer’s and Willi Ostermann’s, is celebrated, a resounding panorama unfolds: humorous, winkingly, and always close to the Cologne lifestyle. Together singing and enjoying a multi-course, Cologne-style menu from the top kitchen of the Wolkenburg – that is the program of the evening. As a wine accompaniment, the „Cuvée Adenauer“ is also served, the exclusive anniversary wine from the top wine estate Wegeler for the 150th anniversary of the „Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger“.
